Our firm has been invited to contribute the Taiwan chapter (Chapters 1 through 6) in the Doing Business in Asia Pacific Guidebook 2025 issued by the International Bar Association (IBA), introducing Taiwan’s business environment, corporate regulations, and investment-related laws.

The Doing Business in Asia Pacific Guidebook 2025 has included a chapter on Taiwan for the first time. Our firm is honored to have been invited to its drafting, covering Chapters 1 through 6. This project was completed by the team led by our corporate and M&A partner, Yvonne Liu, with contributions from team members Ariel Liu, Steven Huang, Alexander Tsai, Simon Lee, and Paul Chang, along with English review assistance from Sheila Hu. The six chapters cover a comprehensive introduction to Taiwan, the business environment, corporate structures, takeovers (friendly mergers and acquisitions), foreign investment, and corporate restructuring and insolvency. We hope this guide offers foreign investors a broad perspective on Taiwan’s business landscape and legal framework.
