We are pleased to share that our Partner, Matt Liu, was invited by the Taiwan Competition Law Institute to serve as a panelist at the "Symposium on Current Issues in Fair Trade Law and Standard Essential Patents" on September 21, 2024. Matt contributed his insights on the topic of "The Suspension of Investigations Mechanism under the Taiwan Fair Trade Act." He addressed key issues such as the efficiency brought about by such mechanism, the low enforcement of such mechanism by the Taiwan Fair Trade Commission, the shortcomings of the current statutory provision, and suggested legislative amendment to improve such mechanism. His in-depth analysis garnered strong support from attending scholars and experts.
