INTRODUCTION
Ms. Marilyn Wu is an advisor at Tsar & Tsai Law Firm. Prior to practicing at Tsar & Tsai, Ms. Wu has been a prosecutor for more than 12 years. She was mainly in charge of investigating criminal cases, as well as cross-examining in public court. In 2010, Ms. Wu was awarded a Chevening Scholarship by the UK government, and she therefore acquired a master degree at International Commercial Law Module. From 2013 to 2016, she was appointed as a legal counsel for Taiwan Ministry of Economic Affairs. During that period of time, Ms. Wu was overseeing two Agreement negotiations with Mainland China and some Bilateral Investment Agreements with ASEAN countries. She was also representing Taiwan in a legal capacity in a WTO dispute settlement case, case DS 490, and acting as a legal consultant for the Trade in Services Agreement negotiations. Moreover, she was dealing with domestic legal affairs, such as advising on legal issues with regard to a national referendum on nuclear power plants and a government procurement contract between two state-owned enterprises of Taiwan and Mainland China.
With her rich experience in the field of litigation and practice regarding international commercial law, as well as having good understanding of the operations and functions of Taiwan governmental organizations, she joined Tsar & Tsai in September 2017.
